The Indian Church and the apostolic tradition of St Thomas — an apostolic inheritance belonging to the whole Indian Church, beyond any single rite: a tradition of Christ’s love and reconciliation.

The baptism Thomas gave is not Thomas’s but Christ’s. Anyone in India baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit already belongs to this apostolic tradition. Apostolic tradition is not a family inheritance — it is the tradition of Christ’s love, never one of hatred or enmity.
